Core Cutter

Core cutter is used in a core cutter method in which dry density for the cohesiveness of soil is determined. This test is conducted to determine if the soil is dry. This method is applicable only on stone-free, fine-grained soils. One the users known the moisture content, they can calculate the dry density and void percentage. Core cutter is one of the apparatuses used in core cutter method. The other includes steel rammer, weighing balance, knife, steel ruler, etc.
